Telomerase can be naturally produced by your cells to repair telomeres, but this function is shut off by a repressor protein binding to a regulator site or ‘switch’ on the chromosome.

We introduce a therapeutic element that binds to the repressor protein.

This prevents the repressor protein from binding to the regulator site, allowing telomerase production to be activated.

The telomerase produced by your cells can then repair the portions of the telomeres lost in cell division.

Hybrid Vector Solution

Create and clone an activated telomerase gene hybrid with an adeno-associated virus (AAV).

The adeno-associated virus does not cause disease, and has a very mild immune response.

The AAV transfers the hybrid vector (section of DNA) into your cells, where it can produce telomerase.

The telomerase produced in your cells can then repair the portions of the telomeres lost in cell division.
